Consolidating blogs

Please note that I'm no longer posting to this blog.  All old posts have been moved to my main blog PJMixer and I'll be posting new coincidences over there starting November 2013.

Cross reference coincidence with wanting

Just posted a very long piece on my main PJMixer blog called Ramblings of the wanting. It was regarding controlling my desires for things like new cars and cameras.   The evening after I completed the post I got a ride to my ultimate game in my friend's brand new Audi A5 (pow) and got to play a little with another friend's Nikon D600 (umpf).

Bob - #82/365

Bob was my limo driver from the airport.  As soon I detected his English accent we struck up a conversation that continued until he delivered me home.  Perhaps a first for me, getting an English accented limo driver in Toronto - and not just any Englishman.  He used to live just a few miles from my home town in England and only when I handed him my business card did I find out his mother's maiden name is the same as mine.

Wayne Furniture ghost sign

Wayne Furniture ghost sign, Toronto - #7/365

Desk chair connection to the old furniture store simply coincidence. I believe the store moved from Yonge Street to Parliament Street and is still in business.

Kozma

I was in Montreal for an ultimate tournament on the weekend.  Our playing fields were located at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, so there were a few patients hanging around, including one character wearing a Colorado Rapids hockey shirt with Kozma on the back.  I didn't recognize the name and a quick online search didn't find an NHL player called Kozma.

Watching baseball highlights this morning, and Pete Kozma from the St. Louis Cardinals is featured.

Counting sheep

Just stating a new Sci-fi titled The Android's Dream by John Scalzi. The title actually comes from a futuristic breed of sheep that some how becomes a part of the plot. There's mention of counting sheep.

A buddy just recommended a great Aussie funk band called Skunkhour. In their song Do You Like It there's also mention of counting sheep.

Oh and there was some other weird news story I glimpsed yesterday that reported on a winemaker using sheep to trim the leaves off his vines.

Lots of coincidences keep happening but missed posting them recently.

Pulp Fiction and Neil Diamond

Listening to iTunes DJ and I thought of playing You'll be a Woman soon as I heard the Pulp Fiction remake by Urge Overkill on CBC Radio 2 the other day.

iTunes DJ next track is a newer Neil Diamond Track (No Words).
